 from my understanding cybercrime includes various illegal activities carried out using the internet, and it can impact individuals, companies, and even governments. Three common types of cybercrime that i researched can include phishing, ransomware attacks, and identity theft.   phishing can occur through fraudulent emails or websites that appear legitimate. For example, an attacker may send an email that looks like it’s from a well-known company (like a bank or an online retailer), asking the recipient to click a link and "verify" their account information. The link leads to a fake website that resembles the real one, where victims unknowingly enter their data. A similar experience happened to me recently. Although my personal information wasn’t stolen, I did receive several suspicious texts and emails about supposed package deliveries. My thoughts on the presentation on the boom and bust of the dot.com era was crazy to think about, especially hearing it through a personal story from that time. What stood out to me were the five stages of the dot.com event that were discussed. The dot.com boom began when the internet introduced new opportunities for making money in the virtual  world. This led to a rush of companies, both large and small, entering the market. Some of these companies, like Yahoo, are still around today, while others like Compuserv and Prodigy were once major players in the game. In 1994, Professor Andrew Fry took advantage of the boom and launched Free Range Media, which was another example of the growing potential in the virtual world and tech industry. Between 1995 and 1997, the boom reached its peak. Many companies, including Yahoo, Amazon, and Spry, had been gaining quick traction and saw rapid success through this time.  Erick Hanberg gave an excellent presentation that really informed and intrigued me about his entrepreneurial journey. His shared experiences with several startups, including his early work with Heratio and Exit133. His trials and errors with these business ultimately led him to finding success in publishing. As Erick became an author, he found success with his books, growing his sales from just a few to hundreds. He built his publishing business by understanding his niche market and using effective advertising strategies from previous experiences. I found it interesting how his experience with AI helped him create a short story with minimal effort. He was able to form a decent story that could potentially make money, all with very little work. I found it really interesting to hear from an entrepreneur about his success and career. My thoughts on the documentary "Startup.com" emphasize the valuable insights into the role of friendships in business. The documentary takes through the rise and fall of GovWorks in the 1990s, founded by Tom and Kaleil. Their strong friendship played a crucial role in the company’s early success, with Kaleil's visionary leadership and ambitious entrepreneurial spirit complemented by Tom's analytical skills and attention to operational details. Together, they formed a strong team that created opportunities, allowing them to gain traction and achieve success through their hard work and dedication. However, as the company began to grow, the pressures of the business world began to take a toll on their friendship and business relationship; it began to seep into their personal interactions, creating an atmosphere of uncertainty and mistrust.
